November 19, 2019: Richmond, BC — After a successful 32-day run, FEAST: Asian Dining Festival reluctantly draws to a close, but not before creating a delicious and indelible impression on diners, restaurants, and the public alike. In its second year, FEAST has laid the foundation for a signature program in the City of Richmond. “FEAST has exceeded our expectations,” says Sonny Wong, producer, FEAST. “But these expectations couldn’t be reached were it not for those who supported our program: our restaurant participants, sponsors, media partners, staff, and of course, our guests.”
FEAST allows diners to discover and indulge, family-style, in a range of Asian cuisines that are the envy of foodies in North America. “Based on the success of 2019, we look forward to an even-more bountiful 2020,” says Alvin Chow, producer, FEAST. “We invite restaurant participants to sign up early to ensure their spot on our roster.”
The 2019 edition of FEAST comprised 34 restaurant participants attracting an estimated 20,000 diners over the Festival period, along with 100s of thousands of media impressions. Participating cuisines in FEAST include Cantonese, Filipino, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Shanghainese, Taiwanese, and Vietnamese. Planning is already under way for FEAST 2020.
The 2019 edition of FEAST is presented by Subaru, with major partner Tourism Richmond. Supporting partners include Horseshoe Press, Yelp, Old Abbey Ales, and Aberdeen Centre.
